Mississippi permit practice test 4

Thirty questions on shared signal lanes, pedestrian signals, night driving and fog, interstate merging and exits, breakdowns, sharing the road with trucks and bicycles, more warning and regulatory signs, zero tolerance, test refusal and the permit application. Every answer comes from the Mississippi Driver's License Manual (revised December 2024). The Mississippi Department of Public Safety does not publish how many questions the Computerized Exam has or the score needed to pass, so this set uses our own practice standard: 30 questions, 24 correct (80 percent) to pass. There is no time limit.

A sample question

A large truck is coming toward you on a two-lane road. What does the manual say about the wind it creates?

  • Wind turbulence pulls vehicles together, so steer left
  • Wind turbulence pushes vehicles apart, so keep well to the right
  • There is no real effect on cars, only on motorcycles
  • Speed up to cut through the wind before the truck passes
