Privacy policy: what we collect and your choices
What Fable Tests collects (very little), how analytics and cookies work on this site, and your choices.

The short version
- You can use every test without an account, email address or payment.
- Your answers, score and timer stay in your own browser. They are kept in your browser's session storage and disappear when you close the tab. We never send them to our server, and we do not store them.
- We use analytics cookies only if you agree to them.

What we collect
Information you do not need to give
We do not ask for your name, email address or any other details to use the site.
Server logs
Like every website, our hosting provider (Hostinger) keeps standard server logs: IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. These are used only to keep the site secure and working, and they are kept for a limited period.
Analytics, only with your consent
If you accept analytics cookies in our consent banner, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, how long people stay and which tests are most useful. Google Analytics is not loaded until you agree. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set.
You can change your choice at any time from the cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.

Advertising
If we show advertising in the future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent before any advertising cookies are used.
Your rights
Under UK and EU data protection law, you can ask to see, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, or object to its use. Because we keep almost nothing, there is usually nothing to return. To make a request, email info@fabletests.org.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) in the UK, or your local data protection authority.
Changes
We will update this page if what we collect changes, and change the date at the top.
