North Dakota permit practice test 1
Twenty-five questions on the basics every new North Dakota driver needs: STOP and YIELD signs, traffic lights, the permit age and supervisor, emergency vehicles, school buses, seat belts, the 0.08 limit, center lines, signaling, the three-second rule and what to do after a crash. Every answer comes from the North Dakota Noncommercial Driver License Manual (2025-2027) or NDDOT's own pages. NDDOT does not publish how many questions the real knowledge test has or the score needed to pass, so this set uses our own practice rule: 25 questions, 20 correct (80 percent) to pass. Signs are part of the same test. The online test allows 60 minutes; our sets have no time limit.
Exam mode: timed, answers at the end, like the real test. Practice mode: untimed, the answer and explanation after each question.
