Virginia general knowledge practice test 1

Thirty general knowledge questions on the basics every new Virginia driver needs: traffic lights and right turn on red, dark signals, lane-use signals, center lines and lane lines, painted curbs, default speed limits, reckless driving, school buses, all-way stops, roundabouts, emergency vehicles, following distance, blind spots, bicycles, trucks, pedestrians, headlights, fog, alcohol, seat belts, child seats, traffic stops, deer and the learner's permit. Every answer comes from the Virginia Driver's Manual (DMV 39, April 2026) or the Virginia DMV's own pages. The real Virginia knowledge exam has two parts: 10 traffic sign questions, which you must all answer correctly, and 30 general knowledge questions, where you need 24 correct. This set practices the general knowledge part in the same format: 30 questions, 24 to pass. The traffic signs part has its own practice sets. There is no time limit.
