Acute, chronic and life-threatening conditions: fluids and electrolytes, hemodynamics, oxygenation, drains, dialysis and emergencies.

What is in this drill
Scope: Client-needs chapter 8: Physiological Adaptation
A sample question
On day 3 after a knee replacement, a client suddenly becomes short of breath and anxious, with sharp chest pain on breathing in. Heart rate is 124/min, respirations 30/min and SpO2 88% on room air. Lung sounds are clear. Complete the diagram: choose the condition the client is most likely developing, two actions the nurse should take first and two parameters to monitor.
Marked when you take the drill; the explanation appears in your review.
