OET (Occupational English Test) for nurses · full test
OET Listening practice test 2 (nursing)
A complete OET Listening practice test in the real format: three parts and 42 questions in about 40 minutes, with each recording played once only. Part A has two consultation extracts, a falls assessment and a heart failure clinic review, and you complete the nurse's notes with the exact word or short phrase you hear (24 questions). Part B has six short workplace extracts, such as a phone call to a doctor and an infection control briefing, each with one multiple-choice question (6 questions). Part C has an interview on delirium and a presentation on interruptions during medicine rounds, each with six multiple-choice questions (12 questions). The real Listening sub-test is the same for all twelve OET professions; this set is written for nurses. This is the harder of our two OET Listening tests: speakers correct themselves more often, and more questions turn on opinion and attitude. Scoring: every question is worth one mark. OET converts the 42 marks to a 0 to 500 scale, and oet.com says candidates awarded grade B (350) typically have at least 30 marks, so we use 30 of 42 as a rough grade B guide. This is not an official pass mark: OET reports a scaled score and does not publish a fixed raw pass mark. The exact boundary changes slightly with each real test version, so treat it as a guide, not a guarantee. Format checked against oet.com on 1 November 2026.
Exam mode: timed, answers at the end, like the real test. Practice mode: untimed, the answer and explanation after each question.
