Arkansas permit practice test 2

Twenty-five questions that build on the basics: how long a permit lasts, the learner's license, the $5 exam fee, flashing lights and turn arrows, pavement lines, parking distances, child seats, the move-over law, alcohol and time, left turns and driveways, and dimming your headlights, with five sign pictures. Every answer comes from the Arkansas Driver License Study Guide (October 2026) and official Arkansas State Police pages. The Arkansas State Police testing instructions say you pass the real knowledge exam with 20 correct answers, but no official source gives the total number of questions, so 25 questions with 20 correct to pass is our own practice size. Road signs are part of the same exam, not a separately scored part. No official source states a time limit, and our sets have none.

Exam mode: timed, answers at the end, like the real test. Practice mode: untimed, the answer and explanation after each question.

A sample question

What does a broken white line between two lanes mean?

  • Lanes go the same direction, and you may cross it to change lanes when safe
  • Traffic in the two lanes moves in opposite directions, so do not cross
  • You may never cross the line, except to avoid a crash
  • The line marks the outer edge of the road, so stay inside it

Marked when you take the test; the explanation appears in your review.
