Indiana traffic laws practice test 4

Twenty harder questions: the exceptions to the probationary night limits, retesting after an expired license, Driver Safety Program orders, chemical test and no-insurance penalties, skills exam waiting periods, multi-lane roundabouts with trucks, J-turns, interstate rules, tire checks, floods and drowsy driving. Every answer comes from the Indiana Driver's Manual (July 2026). The real BMV knowledge exam has two parts, traffic laws and road signs, and you must score 80 percent or higher on each part separately. The BMV does not publish how many questions are on the exam, so these sizes are our own practice sizes: this traffic-laws set has 20 questions, and you need 16 correct (80 percent) to pass. Practice the other part with our Indiana road signs tests. There is no time limit.

You are inside a multi-lane roundabout and realize you are in the wrong lane for your exit. What should you do?

  • Stop in the roundabout until the other lane is clear
  • Change lanes quickly inside the roundabout
  • Stay in your lane and exit safely, going around again if needed, because you should not change lanes in the circle
  • Reverse back to the entry and choose again

Marked when you take the test; the explanation appears in your review.
