North Carolina permit practice test 3
Thirty middle-level questions: the point system and driver improvement clinic, the Level 2 curfew and passenger limit, minimum liability insurance, which crashes must be reported, rain and hydroplaning, stopping distance at railroad crossings, right of way between vehicles, hand signals and how far ahead to signal. Answers are based on the North Carolina Driver Handbook; a few sign meanings follow the national sign manual (MUTCD). NCDMV gives a knowledge test, which you pass with 80 percent correct (the number of questions is not published), and a separate traffic signs test, where you must identify 9 of 12 signs. Our set has 18 knowledge questions and 12 sign questions with pictures, and you need 24 of 30 (80 percent) to pass. Our engine scores the overall mark only, so check your sign answers too. Our sets have no time limit.
Exam mode: timed, answers at the end, like the real test. Practice mode: untimed, the answer and explanation after each question.
