North Carolina permit practice test 5
Thirty hard questions on the finer rules: third and fourth DWI convictions, racing and failure-to-yield penalties, points after reinstatement, out-of-state tickets, hybrid beacons, ramp meters, dark signals, flashing yellow arrows, two-way left-turn lanes, colored pavement markers, the Move Over rule on one-lane roads, emergency vehicles on divided highways, funeral processions and farm equipment. Answers are based on the North Carolina Driver Handbook; a few sign meanings follow the national sign manual (MUTCD). NCDMV gives a knowledge test, which you pass with 80 percent correct (the number of questions is not published), and a separate traffic signs test, where you must identify 9 of 12 signs. Our set has 18 knowledge questions and 12 sign questions with pictures, and you need 24 of 30 (80 percent) to pass. Our engine scores the overall mark only, so check your sign answers too. Our sets have no time limit.
Exam mode: timed, answers at the end, like the real test. Practice mode: untimed, the answer and explanation after each question.
