North Carolina permit practice test 6
Thirty of the hardest questions, built around tricky situations and exact figures: stopping distance at 55 mph, headlight and taillight distances, tire tread, splitting the difference between two hazards, crossing gates that close while you are on the tracks, three-lane roads, passing on the right, bicycle lights, mopeds, insurance lapses, school buses on five-lane roads, Level 2 passenger rules and what to do in a traffic stop. Answers are based on the North Carolina Driver Handbook; a few sign meanings follow the national sign manual (MUTCD). NCDMV gives a knowledge test, which you pass with 80 percent correct (the number of questions is not published), and a separate traffic signs test, where you must identify 9 of 12 signs. Our set has 18 knowledge questions and 12 sign questions with pictures, and you need 24 of 30 (80 percent) to pass. Our engine scores the overall mark only, so check your sign answers too. Our sets have no time limit.
Exam mode: timed, answers at the end, like the real test. Practice mode: untimed, the answer and explanation after each question.
