Utah practice tests

The Utah written knowledge test for new drivers is a closed-book test of 50 multiple-choice questions on Utah laws and safe driving, and you must score 80 percent or better, which is 40 correct. You take it at a Driver License Division office when you apply for a learner permit, from age 15. It is not timed. Our free Utah practice sets follow the same format, 50 questions with 40 to pass, and every answer comes from the 2026 Utah Driver Handbook.
