Virginia traffic signs practice test 5

Ten harder traffic sign questions, nearly all with pictures: telling sharp turns from curves, Divided Highway Ends, Reduced Speed Limit Ahead, flaggers, the two-way left turn lane, Slower Traffic Keep Right, the Double Arrow sign, DO NOT STOP ON TRACKS and END ROAD WORK, plus what brown signs mean. Every answer comes from the Virginia Driver's Manual (DMV 39, April 2026) and the national sign manual (MUTCD). The real Virginia knowledge exam has two parts: 10 traffic sign questions, which you must all answer correctly, and 30 general knowledge questions, where you need 24 correct. This set practices the traffic signs part in the same format: 10 questions, all 10 to pass. The general knowledge part has its own practice sets. There is no time limit.

A sample question

White vertical rectangle with the black words SLOWER TRAFFIC KEEP RIGHT

You are driving slower than most traffic on a highway with two lanes each way and see this sign. Where should you drive?

  • In the left lane, so others can pass you on the right
  • In the right lane, leaving the left lane for passing
  • In either lane, as long as you are under the limit
  • On the shoulder, so faster traffic can get by

Marked when you take the test; the explanation appears in your review.
