Duolingo English Test reading practice set 1
Fifteen reading items in the four Duolingo English Test reading task types: Read and Select (real or invented words), Read and Complete (missing letters), Fill in the Blanks (a word in context) and Interactive Reading (one passage about a neighborhood tool library, worked through step by step). Topics are a community garden, night markets and everyday life. This is the easier of our two reading sets. It is untimed and shows your raw score only. The real test is adaptive, so the questions get harder or easier as you answer; it takes about an hour, mixes all four skills and is scored from 10 to 160. Speaking and writing tasks are not scored here; see the guides for those.
Exam mode: timed, answers at the end, like the real test. Practice mode: untimed, the answer and explanation after each question.
