IELTS Listening practice test 2
A complete IELTS Listening practice test in the real format: four parts and 40 questions, ten per part, played once, in about 30 minutes. Part 1 is a phone call to book a holiday cottage, Part 2 is a council officer on local radio explaining new bin collections, Part 3 is two geography students planning river fieldwork, and Part 4 is a lecture on bees and other pollinators in cities. Question types are form, sentence, flow chart and note completion, and multiple choice with one or two answers. This test is a step up from test 1, with more corrections and more distractors. Format checked against ielts.org on 1 November 2026: four parts, 40 questions, about 30 minutes, recordings heard once only. On paper you would then get 10 minutes to transfer answers; on computer, 2 minutes to check.
Exam mode: timed, answers at the end, like the real test. Practice mode: untimed, the answer and explanation after each question.
