Forty-seven practice items in the four task types of the updated TOEFL iBT Listening section: Listen and Choose a Response (17 short remarks), Listen to a Conversation (five campus conversations), Listen to an Announcement (four announcements) and Listen to an Academic Talk (three talks, on night migration in songbirds, serious faces in early photographs and the spacing effect). This is the easiest of the four listening sets. The real section also has about 47 items, and each recording is played only once, so listen once and take notes. This set uses American voices; the real test can also use British, Australian and New Zealand accents. It is untimed; the real Listening section is timed and adaptive, so the questions you meet depend on how you answer earlier ones, and it is reported on a 1 to 6 scale.
Exam mode: timed, answers at the end, like the real test. Practice mode: untimed, the answer and explanation after each question.
