CELPIP-General Reading practice test 8
A complete CELPIP-General Reading practice test with the same four parts and 38 questions as the real test. Part 1, Reading Correspondence (questions 1 to 11), is a welcome email from the organizer of an adult soccer league and a new player's reply: questions 1 to 6 are about the email, and questions 7 to 11 fill the gaps in the reply. Part 2, Reading to Apply a Diagram (questions 12 to 19), is a provincial park's campsite price list and an email about booking a site; the real test shows a picture here, so we write the diagram out as a text table. Part 3, Reading for Information (questions 20 to 28), is an article in four paragraphs, A to D, about home smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, and you decide which paragraph holds each piece of information. Part 4, Reading for Viewpoints (questions 29 to 38), is a newspaper article about holiday rentals in a small town, followed by a reader's comment with gaps for questions 34 to 38. Each question has four options and one correct answer. CELPIP sets 43 to 56 minutes for the Reading Test, and we give you 55, close to the upper end, so you can practise at a realistic speed. Like the real test, which may hold unscored trial questions that look the same as the others, treat every question as if it counts. Each CELPIP skill gets a level from 0 to 12, and levels 3 to 12 line up with the same Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level. CELPIP does not say how many correct answers earn each level, so this test has no pass mark: your total is a guide to your progress, not a CELPIP level.
Exam mode: timed, answers at the end, like the real test. Practice mode: untimed, the answer and explanation after each question.
