Part 3 questions that follow this card
Part 3 broadens the topic into a discussion of four to five minutes. Give a view, a reason and an example each time.
- Why do some people prefer noisy places and others quiet ones?
- Is noise a serious problem in modern cities?
- How can people find quiet in a busy life?
- Do libraries and parks still matter in the digital age?
How to handle this card
Use sensory words: what you can hear, see and smell. A quiet place is a good chance to show descriptive vocabulary, so aim for a few precise adjectives rather than many general ones.
