IELTS Academic Reading practice test 6
An IELTS Academic Reading test in the real format: three passages and 40 questions in 60 minutes, a step up from test 5. Passage 1 follows the history of paper (True/False/Not Given, table completion and matching features). Passage 2 explains what happens in the brain during sleep (matching headings, summary completion and multiple choice). Passage 3 argues about the future of coral reefs (Yes/No/Not Given, matching information, sentence completion and multiple choice). Answers to completion questions must be words from the passage within the word limit. Each correct answer earns one mark; the real test converts the raw score out of 40 to a band from 1 to 9.
Exam mode: timed, answers at the end, like the real test. Practice mode: untimed, the answer and explanation after each question.
