IELTS Academic Reading practice test 7
An IELTS Academic Reading test in the real format: three passages and 40 questions in 60 minutes, harder than tests 5 and 6. Passage 1 traces the history and processing of tea (True/False/Not Given, note completion and short answers). Passage 2 asks why languages disappear and how some are revived (matching headings, matching sentence endings and multiple choice). Passage 3 presents an argument about the placebo effect (matching information, Yes/No/Not Given and summary completion). Answers to completion questions must be words from the passage within the word limit. Each correct answer earns one mark; the real test converts the raw score out of 40 to a band from 1 to 9.
Exam mode: timed, answers at the end, like the real test. Practice mode: untimed, the answer and explanation after each question.
