Part 3 questions that follow this card
Part 3 broadens the topic into a discussion of four to five minutes. Give a view, a reason and an example each time.
- Why do some people find it hard to ask for help?
- Who do you think should teach children to be helpful, parents or teachers?
- Do you think people are more willing to help others than they were in the past?
- What qualities make someone a good mentor?
- Is it better to learn from other people or to work things out alone?
How to handle this card
Choose someone you can talk about in detail rather than the most impressive person. Give one clear example of the help, then say what changed because of it. Use the past tense for what happened and the present for how you feel now.
